The United Nations General Assembly is the largest component distributor in Asia, and its large global competitors can only maintain (recover?) the leading position if they replace them in the region. Through the acquisition of Taiwan's Prospect Technology Corp. with an annual turnover of US$157 million and JC Tally Trading Co. Ltd. (with an operating income of US$90 million in 2010), Avnet’s intentions are clear, and it will eliminate the majority in North America and Western Europe. Like competitors, strive to compete for the manufacturing center market in China.
